Girlfriends TV night

Published by admin under Uncategorized

We just watched Bottle Shock for the first time this last weekend.  It is a fun movie.  I have always loved Alan Rickman in just about anything he does and he plays this one seemlessly.   It is a very easy movie to follow – doesn’t ask you to think too hard – at the same time it is a fun depiction of a time in wine making history that put the Napa Valley ( and american wines ) on the map.  Put on your favorite 70′s clothes, pick up your own copy of Bottle Shock and a case of Red Wine by Chateau Montelena (click on the label below) and have your friends over for a fun evening.

At Firestone Wines they are excited about a lot of things, especially how well their Discoveries wines go with food, travel and exploration of all kinds. And to demonstrate the great pairing diversity of Firestone and Discoveries, they thought they’d invite a select group of people to trek the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu in the capable hands of Zephyr Adventures, while enjoying Firestone Discoveries wines with regional cuisine.

Great idea, right?

They thought so too! So much so, they’ve added another component to this amazing program. What if they invited one of our loyal Firestone Wines fans to go on the trip, and blog about their once-in-a-lifetime experience? Yep, that’s right, they are now looking for a Firestone Wines Discoveries Pathfinder who will join us on the Inca Trail hike on April 17-25, record a few videos about their incredible experience and comment on the magnificent food and Firestone wine pairings.

Your expenses will be paid, including airfare to Peru, and you will earn a $1,000 stipend for your time. What better part-time, short-term assignment could you want?

So here’s how it works, ten applications will be drawn — at random — into a pool, and one lucky person will be chosen from among those final 10. To be eligible, you will need to be a member of Facebook and be a Fan of the Firestone Discoveries Page, which you can do when you apply to be the Discoveries Pathfinder. As a special incentive for you to spread the word (hey, let’s face it, we want to get the word out there and we need your help to do that! ), when you tell your friends about the Discoveries Pathfinder program and they apply for the Discoveries Pathfinder assignment you will receive an extra chance to win!
